1) a segway sighting - i might've missed it, but the big guy had NO CLUE what it was and freaked out

2) the best dim sum EVER (all food reviews eventually)... we were the only white kids in the room

3) the gay puerto rican jeweler who when putting a ring on my finger said "now don't go thinking this is a proposal girlie... my boyfriend would be pissed, my daughter would be confused and my mother would be thrilled."

4) the apple soho store (computer mecca) being mere blocks from dean and deluca (food mecca)

5) finding two total strangers on the streets of the village, asking them for a bar recommendations, and then having a great tour of the area via car, and ending up in a fabu little brazillian bar with no name where one could smoke!

6) a fun store called kid robot that specializes in " urban vinyl action figures"

7) seeing my boy zach and his gorgeous and talented galpal in brooklyn

8) the david kolker band at the baggot inn. seriously - if you get a chance, they are fantastic.
