over last weekend i battled with a sore throat and light fever - annoying, but liveable. i sat on the couch, whined to my husband, pet the cats. but i was good darn it! i took it easy.

at the beginning of the week i came in to work a bit late, trying to rest up a little more - to get over the hump. there was a frog in my throat, but i was taking it easy.

yesterday i caught a case of the sniffles - that's ok, i thought - it's the tail end of the first winter cold. i'll be fine.

this morning my head is in a fish bowl, i can only breathe through my mouth, my throat hurts a-g-a-i-n and it was all i could do to get out of bed. damnit. no fair!
