things to do at the oregon coast
1) stop by that little non-descript cafe just over the yaquina bay historic bridge for breakfast. they serve from scratch (freshly baked bread) french toast stuffed with cheese and smothered in local marionberry sauce, not to mention just-caught yaquina bay oysters wrapped in bacon. good coffee too.
2) insist that your husband drive 7 miles inland to the podunk town of toledo because the lady at walmart told you where the yarn store is.
3) wear a burger king crown because it's your birthday.
4) go to sleep and wake as your body dictates even if it means leaving the big guy and lady j to their own drunken devices and they end up exploring tide pools in the dark.
4) take a bath in the whirlpool tub, watch tv, knit, get a massage, eat lovely spanish cheese, and don't hestitate to nap.
5) eat at the blackfish cafe in lincoln city. good food all around. good wine too.
6) hike across a muddy inlet near otis oregon wearing innappropriate shoes. marvel at the clam holes and the succulents growing on the hillside. confirm that lady j is prettier than a bi-valve.
7) eat marionberry pie at the otis cafe.
